Hoorn

During the time of the East India Company (VOC), the historic port town of Hoorn was one of the most important trading centers. This is certainly reflected in the beautiful houses and facades in the old port town. Visit one of the museums or travel back in time and board the Museum Steam Tram Hoorn-Medemblik. The driving schedule changes daily. During school vacations, the Museum Steam Tram organizes fun activities for children. Or visit the Oostereiland, with the Museum of the 20th Century and a cinema. Hoorn also has many stores and boutiques and culinary restaurants to enjoy. In the summer months, in August, one of the largest fairs in the country takes place: for 10 days there is a party in the middle of the old town.
